CleanBlock Pen Santizer
Shared pens are known to potentially carry lots of bacteria and viruses. They are a sure way to spread infections.
In one study a shared pen was shown to contain more than 46,000 times more bacteria than what you would find in a household toilet.
This invention aim to reduce this risk of spreading bacteria from shared pens. It was developed by Todd Roberts, the clinical coordinator at Orlando Health’s Cancer Center, and is called ClearBlock. It is basically a device that sanitizes a pen after use.
The last users replaces the pen back into the ClearBlock which then kills of of the germs on the pen. The next users simply pulls the pen from the clearbloack and continues to use it.
The CleanBlock cleans the pens using a 70 percent ethanol alochol solution.
The inventor claims that ClearBlock eliminates 99 percent of germs within seconds.
