Virtual Car Sun Visor

This is an excellent new invention from German manufacturer Bosch. One in fifty car accidents in the UK is caused by sun glare according to the AA causing many fatal or serious injuries each year.

Bosch aims to reduce this with its new virtual car sun visor. It works by tracking the driver’s eyes using facial recognition technology and uses that information to block out sunlight. It does this without restricting any of the driver’s view.

It cleverly shades just the driver’s eyes and therefore enables the driver to clearly see what’s in front of her.

Bosch is hoping that this idea will replace existing car sun visors in the future.
